(More customer reviews)Bought this to convert vhs and hi8 tape to digital. I liked this because it had a descent pigtail length to the serial cord. All the software installed well, was pretty clear instructions but I couldn't get it to work.
I tried it on the s-video terminal and composite video connections but neither worked. And by the way if you want to go to from camera to their cords you neeed to get a cord with a male-to-male connection so you can plug it into your camera/tape player and their adapter.
With composite video, I did get sound but no video ( yes, the connectors were on the right color ). It didn't make sense, the controls said it was taping through s-video but when I checked the set-up configuration it said it was taping from composite video.
It could be a software compatability problem with my computer or something but I couldn't get mine to work.
