(More customer reviews)Like most plain splitters, you may get a little image distortion when you hook up the second monitor, but that's because the output on the computer isn't meant to power more than one monitor. Depending on the exact monitor manufacturer, you may get a very minor phase shift of the RGB lines, giving the image a slight 'double vision' effect, but text is still readable. If you don't want to take the chance, you should go with a powered splitter (one that requires a AC adapter) which amplifies the signal. However this, or any splitter, will not allow you to use dual monitors- the image will be the same on both monitors, for dual setup you must have a videocard that has more than one output.
I would have given 4 stars but I wanted to offset the 1 star review from the guy who doesn't know what a splitter is, lol!
