(More customer reviews)OK, from reading the reviews, here is the main thing you need to know. If you are connecting from component video from your TV or DVD/Gaming system to VGA for a projector or monitor, this will work (check your projector, etc, manufacturer's guide). But it is a ONE-WAY DEVICE ONLY (only ueable in one direction). Think of it as a one-way step-down device. It is not intended or useable to go the other direction. You WILL NOT be able to use it as from your computer or other VGA device and to a TV, DVD, etc monitoring device. It does not step-up signal. Just remember, Component Video Output to VGA input only. Any other use - NADA, not gonna work.
