(More customer reviews)I usually don't write flame reviews but after installing eight outdoor IP cameras, I had to write this to warn people.
The IP system I use is computer based and runs Blue Iris software. This was my first IP system (usually I install analog systems) and wasn't sure about what brands to buy so I bought a few from 3 different companies to try them all out. Trendnet IP cameras were the cheapest so I bought 4 of them, 2 axis and 2 toshibas. All 8 cameras were installed in external housing units with a blower.
The trendnet cameras suffer from flickering almost at the same time everyday. They also have ghosting/artifact issues, poor night vision ability, and less than sharp images. The axis units were better and Toshiba were by far the sharpest (Toshiba sold the lens separately). Before anyone tells me you get what you pay for, just remember, a camera that can't see a person's face clearly is useless and isn't worth a penny. I have since replaced 2 of the 4 trendnets with Toshibas.
Final advice, for outdoor IP cameras, try another brand.
