(More customer reviews)This works okay for dvd video off of my old sony viao laptop. I do not have a S-video out port just vga and the picture is blurry if im viewing the desktop (microsoft windows). Web surfing is also a no go. Too blurry. I bought this in hopes that I could use the old laptop to view dvd video and surf the web from my tv (older crt style) but it just isn't a clear enough picture for web surfing. The instructions are sparse but says if picture is blurry use S-Video. That would be good if my laptop had S-Video. It is serving its purpose of replacing my defective dvd player, but after the 40 bucks for this plus the 15 bucks for the adapter cables i could have went to a retail store and bough a cheap dvd player. Oh well, lessens learned. Only clear picture is off of dvd movies. I am figuring that the pixels are blurry but I just cant tell which works for me til I can figure out how to make it work. Alot of work for what I needed.
