This VGA/3.5mm audio combination cable will let you hook up a typical laptop computer to a TV. If your laptop lacks an HDMI output, it probably has a VGA output and a standard stereo headphone jack. This cable will allow you to connect them to your TV with 15 feet of cable, making this practical for the majority of laptops and HDTVs with VGA ports. Unfortunately, not all TVs have a 3.5mm input jack, so there's a possibility that you will need an adapter to convert one end to fit into RCA plugs.
I found this cable particularly well suited for use with one of my TV monitors, and also found it convenient for guests of mine who wanted to see the contents of their netbook on an HDTV. It can also serve well if you have a home theater PC that you want to incorporate into your entertainment system.
This is a "Laptop-to-TV VGA Audio Video Cable" from a company called Micra Digital, but is not a digital cable. Both ends of the cable are identical. If you want to connect a VGA port to to a digital source, this cable can be used with a converter box. If you need a good quality analog VGA cable, whether it be for use with a laptop or a full blown desktop PC for use in a home theater system, this cable should fit the bill.
